The school is organised into teams of Year 7 and Year 8 classes. These are named, Whanau Takahe, Whanau Whero, Whanau Kotuku and Whanau Pounamu.

Each whanau is led by an experienced senior teacher supported by a balance of teacher strengths that will ensure students get effective teaching.

This arrangement provides healthy interaction between Year 7 and 8 students and supports the pastoral care of students. The safety and well-being of our students is a top priority for us.
