Conclusion: The students were asked to vote for which of the two spiders they considered the 'most dangerous' and to justify their choice. After much debating the final vote was taken... Australian funnel web spider: 10 votes Brazilian wandering spider: 15 votes So the majority of students decided the Brazilian wandering spider was considered the 'most dangerous' due to its aggressive nature and because there is no known antivenin treatment. They did admit that the funnel web was probably the 'most poisonous' but the easy access to antivenin made it much less dangerous to humans. They felt that if there was no treatment for the the Funnel Web that they would class it as the most dangerous.
